VALORCAR – Sociedade de Gestão de Veículos em Fim de Vida, Lda. is a non profit private company, created in 2003 by the ACAP – Associação do Comércio Automóvel de Portugal [Portuguese Automobile Commerce Association], the AIMA – Associação de Industriais de Montagem de Automóveis [Association of Car Assembly Industrials] and the ANAREPRE – Associação Nacional dos Recuperadores de Produtos Recicláveis [National Association of Recovery Agents for Recyclable Products] with shares of 90%, 5% and 5%, respectively.
VALORCAR was licensed on 2nd July 2004, by the Ministry of Cities, Land Planning and Environment, the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing, as the Managing Entity for the Integrated Management System for End of Life Vehicles (ELV).
