| Reception centre |

Reception Centres are facilities where ELV may be delivered by their owners, free of charge. The ELV, after being temporarily stored, are sent to dismantlers.
These Centres have a system for controlling ELV documents and information related with the ELV, the last owner and the destination Dismantler. These Centres also have to be equipped with a fence, fire extinction equipment, water proof coated areas for ELV storage and a waste water collection/treatment system. Reception Centres are not allowed to perform ELV treatment operations.
Reception Centres may not start their activities until a favourable decision has been issued by the Portuguese Waste Institute, following a compulsory on site inspection.
In order to become part of the VALORCAR’s NETWORK, a Reception Centre must sign a contract with VALORCAR, and comply with the Reception Centre Specifications defined by VALORCAR.
