During 2019, a total of 86,739 End of Life Vehicles (ELV) were delivered to VALORCAR NETWORK's ATFs, a figure that represents an increase of 11.8% over 2018.
The average age of the vehicle, which is now 22 years old, continues to rise, reflecting the aging of the national car fleet. Opel Corsa was the model with more units delivered for end of life, reaching about 8.2% of the total volume, followed by Renault Clio and Fiat Punto.
2019 was also the best year ever in terms of ELV materials reuse results, with a reuse / recycling rate of 88.0% and a reuse / recovery rate of 96.5% (average reused weight of each ELV). Thus the reuse / recycling (85%) and reuse / recovery (95%) targets set out in Community legislation were largely exceeded.
