A total of 46 centers have just been integrated into VALORCAR NETWORK for End of Life Vehicles (ELV) management and Battery and Accumulator Waste (RBA) collection, plus 1 exclusively for Battery and Accumulator Waste (RBA) collection, as a result of the selection contest launched by VALORCAR on June 1st.
In the scope of this competition 56 applications were received, which were evaluated in order to guarantee that they have all the legally required licenses. In addition, all candidate facilities were surveyed to determine whether they comply with the minimum operating requirements (facilities and equipment) recently defined by the Portuguese Environment Agency. All the evaluation process was conducted by VALORCAR and audited by an independent entity.
VALORCAR NETWORK has thus been constituted by 258 ATFs, spread throughout all continental districts (243) and the autonomous regions of the Azores (11) and Madeira (4).
